Delicious Golden milk
This healthy healing drink which originally comes from the Ayurvedic kitchen is delicious and has amazing immune boosting as well as anti-inflammatory properties. Golden milk consists of turmeric, ginger, black pepper, plant based milk and a sweetener of your choice ( Or no sweetener if you prefer sugar free).
Turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory properties as well as being a potent antioxidant. Ginger has anti-bacterial properties as well as anti-inflammatory properties and is an amazing natural immune booster.
Golden milk instantly gives you a warm and cozy feel, and in my opinion is a great soothing feel-good drink to have before bed time or while relaxing, perhaps sipping while reading a good book.
Golden milk recipe
(serves 2)
Instructions:
Begin by pouring 480ml of plant based milk into a small pan and turn up to medium heat.
Then add your ground turmeric, fresh ginger, black pepper, sweetener and cinnamon(optional) and whisk for about a minute, then let your Golden milk simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
Give your Golden milk another good stir, switch down the temperature and serve immediately while warm.
Alternatively you can throw all your Golden milk ingredients into a mixer and blend for a minute before heating up in the pan. This will give you a frothier result.
